Chopper Pumps
By Flow-Tech Industries
Fairbanks
The new Fairbanks Morse 5300 Series Chopper Pump is designed for excellent solids conditioning without sacrificing pump efficiency. Featuring an enclosed impeller with a rugged cutting profile, our chopper delivers pump efficiencies 20% to 30% beyond the current chopper pump designs.
Fairbanks Chopper Pump
The 5300 Chopper is a quality product that recognizes the impact of high cost energy on your operating budget, and no longer requires the operation to sacrifice efficiency when you use a chopper design.
The 5300 Series Chopper Pumps are highly engineered with the same energy-saving approach proven extremely effective in previous Fairbanks Morse solids-handling pumps including the 2400 Series, 5700 Series and the revolutionary VTSH (Vertical Turbine Solids-Handling) Pumps.
Features
Supported by a rugged, long proven shaft bearing system, the 5300 Chopper offers exceptional conditioning of solids without sacrificing efficiency. The 5300's use a closed impeller design with a rugged cutting profile, delivering pump efficiencies 20-30% beyond the performance of other chopper pump designs. Contoured cleanouts are standard on both the pump suction as well as on the volute to provide immediate access for removal of large objects, such as steel tramp material or heavy metals that might enter the system, without disturbing suction or discharge piping.
With the cutter bar, impeller and rear back plate all manufactured of hardened steel, ASTM A148, the heart of this pump was designed to handle the most troublesome applications at reduced energy costs. 5300 Chopper Pumps are available in horizontal and vertical configurations.
Pump Advantages:
- Conservation of energy
- Lower operating costs
- Unparalleled solids conditioning
- Steel cutter bar
- Impeller and back plate
- Immediate access for removal of large objects
Applications range from Raw Sewage, return and waste-activated sludge, mixed liquids, primary sludge and digester recirculation.
