Flow-Tech Industries variable area meters are a simple rotometer-type device designed to give reliable and economical flow measurement with full-scale accuracy. It is a long-time industry standard for a wide range of liquids and gases, ideal for applications requiring visual flow measurement, including liquid measurement for leak detection, reverse osmosis and ground water remediation. Our advanced line of variable meters also provide for gas measurement, blanketing systems, air drying equipment, gas purge and nitrogen generators. All meters can be provided with or without purge valves and/or alarms.
Our rotameter and variable area flow meters feature:
- 1/8 inch to 2 inch in line sizes
- Flow rates from 0.6 GPH on liquids, 2.2 SCFM on air
- Pressures to 4,000 PSIG without valve, 1500 PSIG with valve

Basic In-line Flow Meters
Hedland offers a complete line of over 15,000 variable area flow meters to measure oil, phosphate esters, water and water-based fluids, as well as air and other compressed gases. In addition to the basic in-line model, these variable area flow meters are available in high temperature models and test kits with pressure gauge.
